Success Re-Defined:

While many believe the success of a sports team is dependant of the scoreboard and/or its record, we believe the truest measure of our efforts is seen in countless other, less tangible, ways. Although we will coach to win, it will not be at the expense of our greater goal --- nurturing our players to create young men that serve others.

Expectations:

Coaches-
· To adhere to and exemplify the ideals set forth herein.

Players-
· To give maximum effort.
· Strive to improve at every opportunity.
· To accept responsibility for decisions/actions.
· To respect one another.
· To prioritize team before self.
· To be attentive (pay attention).
· To exhibit good sportsmanship.
· To believe in each other.

Parents-
· To support the players and coaches.

· To contribute to an overall positive environment.

· To communicate with the designated team liaison on proactive and constructive
manner consistent with the standards provided.

· To ensure player attendance for all scheduled practices and games on a timely
basis (communicate situations of non-attendance and/or tardiness).

· To reinforce the ideals of our philosophy.

“Through the Eyes of Those We Serve”

One of the most important requirements for success in baseball is players’ ability and commitment to improvement. To maximize their respective skill set, each player must work hard, accept coaches’ feedback/instruction, and make necessary adjustments while remaining wholeheartedly committed to a team goal.

Simply put, baseball coaches and organizations can benefit from the same ideals. To that end, parents and players are ask to provide candid and open feedback throughout the season but, most formally, at the conclusion of each season.

Through the Holly Springs Express Feedback Form (See below), organization members are encouraged to share their unique insight on subjects ranging from organization to leadership. In the end, it is participants’ perspective that guides and directs our progress.
